The following provides information on best practices and instructions on how to back up and restore your Software Appliance.

General best practices for backups:

  • Make sure that you have a recent backup of the data disk
  • Perform regular backups
  • Remember to create backups of the HSM

The Software Appliance does not provide a specific backup feature. Backups are performed outside of the Software Appliance. The backup routines are depending on the used hypervisor, storage format and other dependencies. For more information and instructions, refer to the following sections:
