The following are some best practices and instructions for backing up and restoring your Software Appliance, depending on the hypervisor you are using.
General best practices for backups:
- Make sure that you have a current backup copy of the data disk
- Perform backups on a regular basis
- Remember to backup the HSM
The Software Appliance does not provide a special backup function. Backups are performed outside the Software Appliance. Backup routines depend on the hypervisor, storage format and other dependencies used. For more information and instructions, refer to the following sections:
